For those in Los Al, Rossmoor and College Park who thought it was a tad noisier the past few days, you’d be right — as the pilots performing the supersonic flyover at this week’s Super Bowl also had to get in some practice with some practice runs over So-Fi Stadium — as well as take off and land their jets at the Joint Forces base in Los Alamitos.

The planes involved are World War II fighter P-51 Mustang, which will be in the lead; followed by an F-16 Viper; F-35A Lightning II; F-22 Raptor; and the A-10 Warthog.

Rober Morales of the SoCal Newspaper Group has the story in The Press Telegram or OC Register.
